AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), has recently underscored the depth of Jordanian-Libyan relations at all levels, pointing to the importance of TAG.Global’s contribution. He affirmed that the commitment of TAG. Global's expertise and capabilities in different fields, to Libya's development is an Arab and national duty.
Dr, Abu Ghazalel’s  statement came during a meeting at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAG-KF)  that hosted Dr. Muftah Al-Harir, chairman of Libya’s National Planning Council, in the presence of government  and education representatives from Libya, including (by Zoom) Libya’s Minister of Education,  Dr. Musa Muhammad Al-Maqrif. 
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss means of supporting Libyan universities in academic and scientific research fields, digital transformation, exchange of expertise, qualifying university cadres, and implementing quality assurance standards in education. That is in addition to strengthening cooperation in the infrastructure field through the establishment of a national network for research and education in Libya,  and linking it with the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) and the European Research and Education Network.
During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the means of support provided by TAG.Global – as a Jordanian national institution – to the Libyan people are manifold, as previously defined the  by the  cooperation agreement between the two parties.
He further referred to the efforts needed to overcome all challenges and obstacles the educational and economic system, as well as the business environment in Libya, in addition, to providing consultations and guidance to members of the National Council.
In the same context, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed TAG.Global’s readiness to offer its educational programs and professional certificates in several fields including accounting, intellectual property, information technology, and English language to be incorporated in Libya’s university education.
Meanwhile,  Minister Al-Maqrif, commended TAG.Global’s role in developing education in the Arab region, pointing to the significant role it plays in developing education in Libya. 
For his part, Mr. Al-Harir praised cooperation of Jordanian academic institutions with their Libyan counterparts, noting to the Council’s willingness to develop and improve Libya’s academic, scientific and economic system in accordance with the best international standards.
Mr. Al-Harir said the Council endeavors to prepare studies that identify the objectives, policies and strategies of economic and social development, as well as the investment in natural, human and financial resources and potentials through TAG.Global.
The meeting included participation (by zoom) by a host of Libyan university presidents and representatives from Libya’s National Authority for Scientific Research, the Center for Strategic and Future Studies and Libya’s Long-Term Strategic Committee.
In conclusion, the two parties agreed on establishing a joint taskforce for the development of an implementation plan of several activities and services.
