Abu-Ghazaleh and Al Habashneh Explore Methods of Cooperation to Further Develop “Medical Services”

AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), welcomed Major General Muin Al Habashneh, the Director General of the Royal Medical Services (RMS) in Jordan, to explore cooperative work in developing its medical services.

During the meeting, TAG-Org and RMS discussed the framework for joint-cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the areas of administrative training and development.

Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh highlighted on RMS’s prestigious reputation, long history of accomplishments and development since its establishment, where it has expanded to provide proficient services at local and regional level in all medical fields including Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health Professions and Military Medicine.

Major General Al Habashneh stressed that RMS provides the most efficient and professional services and expertise in all medical fields through its hospitals, medical centers, and military hospitals that cover all areas across the Kingdom.

Major General Al Habashneh indicated, “The 8th International Conference for the Royal Medical Services will be held in November Under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein.” He added, “This international conference that is held every two years is considered beneficial on the science front and in relation to tourism, where around 5,000 participants will attend − including local, regional and international scientists, experts, and thirty military delegations from different countries.” Major General Al Habashneh said, “More than 300 scientific and research reports are discussed at the RMS conference, placing the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the global map when it comes to tourism and universal medicine.”

At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was agreed upon, and in forming a joint-committee to draft the details for the cooperation program as well as a document explaining the type of medical services provided by RMS in both English and Arabic languages. The MOU will also include development of the current RMS website.

The cooperation agreed upon between both parties included conducting a study to develop and improve the cooperation programs and mechanisms through management of services and preparing for a continuous training program pertaining to Medical programs, academic diplomas and certificates, and in obtaining an accredited “digital” certificate through RMS. Other means of cooperation include incorporation of a “Medical Tourism” section in the “Jordan Business Directory” for marketing the RMS medical services offered on a regional and international level.
