Amman - A high level meeting between HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization and HE Ms. Lina Annab, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities was held on 6th February, 2017 at Talal Abu Ghazaleh University, to discuss the Jordanian National Orchestra Association’s past achievements and the Association’s future steps and efforts directed to the promotion of Tourism on a national level, reconfirming Abu-Ghazaleh’s commitment to contribute to the advancement and development of tourism in Jordan and the Arab region in consideration of the great impact of Tourism on the local economy.

The efforts of both parties come in a critical moment in which extremism and radicalization lead to unprecedented attacks to cultural heritage.

The meeting commenced with the introduction to “Iraq Resonance Project” by JOrchestra. The project encompasses two stages; the music recording and video production sessions that will be taking place at a UNESCO site in Iraq and in the recording studio in Amman, along with a public ceremony and performance in Iraq in April 2017.

HE Lina Annab expressed her interest in officially supporting the project to enhance the positive message of the campaign and Jordan’s ongoing solidarity towards its neighboring country, and committed to attend the official ceremony in Iraq with HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh.

One of the valuable outcomes and promotional instruments that resulted from the PETRA Album recording project is the video containing a selection of the best music pieces and portraying Petra’s archeological beauty throughout the recording sessions. The video shall be used as a marketing tool for Petra, through the Jordan Tourism Board Channels and Royal Jordanian Airlines, reaching an extensive audience and maximum visibility.

The video productions in both projects have the joint mission of supporting UNESCO global campaign #Unite4Heritage, enhancing the historic and archeological beauty of the Arab region’s cultural heritage and sustaining local and international tourism towards the region.
